Web standards and accessibility conference

An e-mail from John Allsopp about Web Essentials 04, a Web Standards and accessibility conference,

"I thought GAWDS readers might find this of interest. Together with the Web Standards Group, Westciv is organizing a web standards and accessibility conference, Web Essentials 04, September 30-October 1 2004.

We're really excited about this, not least of all because we've been able to entice three of the big names: Dave Shea, Doug Bowman and Joe Clark, to travel all the way to Sydney Australia to be part of the show. I've attached a press release below, but the essence of the conference will be motivation, knowledge and practical skills from the web standards and accessibility experts.

We're trying to keep this as much as possible a grass roots conference, organized by developers, for developers. We've also set a very reasonable price for the two days: $650 (approx $US460) for early birds, before July 1."
