Personal Profile:

I am a web developer in the Institute of Educational Technology at the Open University (OU), UK.

I have been committed to accessibility and standards since 2004, when I undertook accessibility audits for the Teachernet web site (Depart for Education & Skills) and DGcommunity site (Dumfries & Galloway Council) with Headstar. I continue to maintain the E-Access Bulletin online archive for Headstar (see below).

Since joining the OU in 2005 I have made significant contributions to the accessibility of the Moodle e-learning web application (versions 1.6-1.9, Moodle docs, Accessibility_notes, Moodle issue tracker, MDL-12298). Recent public sites I have developed include OLnet (beta, 2009). I am happy to provide a full CV on request.

Description:

The Open University is committed to equality and diversity. Recent software projects to further equality include the OU-Virtual Learning Environment project (using Moodle free/open-source software), and OpenLearn (uses Moodle, open educational resources).
