Ways to Pay

Payment can be made via a secure credit card system provided by Worldpay. The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, Visa Delta, Mastercard, Eurocard, Switch, Solo and JCB.

You can also pay by telephone (0141 334 1650 between 9am and 5pm GMT), and via e-mail (jim@gawds.org), by posting your subscription to the following address:

Cancellations and refunds

If you are not happy with the service, contact GAWDS within seven days if you wish to cancel this transaction; you will recieve a full refund.

Security

This site uses a secure payment system provided by WorldPay. WorldPay is the longest established player in the world of eCommerce - promoting electronic commerce since 1993. WorldPay Uses Industry Standard SSL, Thawte and WorldPay unique encryption systems.

When you fill in the payment form and click the submit button on this site, your details are not sent straight away. A secure link is set up between your browser and WorldPay and an encryption code is requested and received, which then wraps the order and transaction details before leaving your computer (At no point in this process do we see your credit card details).

Any information you provide is kept strictly confidential and is only used to process your subscription payment and to provide you with GAWDS related services - it will never be sold or disclosed to a third party.

Privacy Policy

The Guild of Accessible Web Designers are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information collected about you lawfully (in the UK, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your payment and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

You will not receive e-mail from the Guild of Accessible Web Designers in the future unless you have given your consent.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from GAWDS or from another trader in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • Your name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Details of the services you or you company provide.

Because all transactions are carried out using the secure transaction server provided by WorldPay I do not collect, or at any point see, your credit/debit card details.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information about you by contacting GAWDS by email. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with internal security policy and the law.

At no point will your information be transferred outside the EEA (European Economic Area).

As soon as your transaction has taken place you will receive a receipt by e-mail and details of WorldPay's customer management system which will allow you to manage your account online.

GAWDS CMS is an accessible Content Management System. The Guild of Accessible Web Designers is a membership organisation - providing services and digital products to members and non-members.

Administration and ownership of The Guild of Accessible Web Designers is based in Scotland, UK, but members can come from any country in the World, most likely Europe, America and Canada. Guild of Accessible Web Designers services will be delivered on-line.
